Title 25 › Chapter CHAPTER 9— - ALLOTMENT OF INDIAN LANDS › § 350
The Secretary of the Interior may, when he thinks it is best for the Indians while making allotments under the act of February 8, 1887, allow an Indian who already has a patent for reservation land to give that patent up. The Indian must formally give up all rights in writing on the patent, have the patent canceled, and then select other land and get a new patent under the act of February 8, 1887.
