If funds are available, the Attorney General, with the Office of Tribal Justice, must award grants to nonprofits (501(c)(3) of title 26) that provide legal help to Indian tribes, members, or tribal justice systems under Federal poverty guidelines if they apply. Grants cover defense, prosecution, and court services in adult criminal, juvenile delinquency, and guardian‑ad‑litem matters.
