By May 31, 1996, the Secretary must send a report to the House Committee on Natural Resources and the Senate Committee on Indian Affairs. The report must list every tribal trust fund account the Secretary manages and show the reconciled balance for each as of September 30, 1995. The Secretary must consult with the Special Trustee while preparing it. The report must explain how the balances were reconciled, include a written statement from each account holder saying they either accept the Secretary’s reconciled balance or dispute it and why, and for any disputed balances say what the Secretary will do to try to resolve the dispute.
