Title 25 › Chapter CHAPTER 46— - INDIAN SELF-DETERMINATION AND EDUCATION ASSISTANCE › § 5306
Anyone who works for or is connected to an organization that gets contracts or grants under this chapter or the Act of April 16, 1934 (48 Stat. 596) and who steals, misuses, or fraudulently takes the grant money or property faces criminal penalties. If the amount taken is more than $100, the person can be fined up to $10,000, jailed up to two years, or both. If the amount is $100 or less, the fine can be up to $1,000, jail up to one year, or both.
