A participating Indian tribe or tribes may choose to add any parts of subchapter I into a compact or funding agreement under this subchapter, unless section 201(d) of the PROGRESS for Indian Tribes Act says otherwise. Any addition must follow and not conflict with section 101(a) of that Act. Added parts count the same as if written here, can supplement or replace related rules, and apply to any agency covered by this subchapter. If a tribe asks for the addition during negotiations, it takes effect right away and controls the negotiation and the final compact or funding agreement.
