Limits a buyer’s tax basis or inventory cost when goods are imported from a related person and the same costs were already counted in the value used to figure customs or other import duties. Related persons: defined under section 482. Customs value: the value used to determine customs or import duties. Import: bringing goods into the U.S. or withdrawing them from a warehouse for use, unless rules say otherwise.
