Summary

Minnesota is one judicial district split into six divisions. Each division covers a group of counties and has a city where its court meets. The First Division includes Dodge, Fillmore, Houston, Mower, Olmsted, Steele, Wabasha, and Winona, with court in Winona. The Second Division includes Blue Earth, Brown, Cottonwood, Faribault, Freeborn, Jackson, Lac qui Parle, Le Sueur, Lincoln, Lyon, Martin, Murray, Nicollet, Nobles, Pipestone, Redwood, Rock, Sibley, Waseca, Watonwan, and Yellow Medicine, with court in Mankato. The Third Division includes Chisago, Dakota, Goodhue, Ramsey, Rice, Scott, and Washington, with court in Saint Paul. The Fourth Division includes Anoka, Carver, Chippewa, Hennepin, Isanti, Kandiyohi, McLeod, Meeker, Renville, Sherburne, Swift, and Wright, with court in Minneapolis. The Fifth Division includes Aitkin, Benton, Carlton, Cass, Cook, Crow Wing, Itasca, Kanabec, Koochiching, Lake, Mille Lacs, Morrison, Pine, and Saint Louis, with court in Duluth.
