Summary
Lets people claim and buy unoccupied federal public land that has salt springs or any kind of salt deposit and is mainly valuable for salt. They must use the same rules that apply to placer-mining claims, and no one may claim or enter more than one such salt claim.

Title 30, §162
Mineral Lands and Mining — Source: USLM XML via OLRC
All unoccupied public lands of the United States containing salt springs, or deposits of salt in any form, and chiefly valuable therefor, shall be subject to location and purchase under the provisions of the law relating to placer-mining claims. The same person shall not locate or enter more than one claim hereunder.
