§522 Conflicting periods of location of claims

Summary

If a mining claim put down after December 31, 1952 but before December 11, 1953 overlaps land of a claim put down before January 1, 1953, and both claims are eligible for the chapter’s benefits, the later claim is treated as if it were located on December 11, 1953 for the area that overlaps. If a later mining claim overlaps land of a claim located before February 10, 1954, and both claims are eligible for the chapter’s benefits, the later claim is treated as if it were located 121 days after August 13, 1954 for the overlapping area.
