People who run betting or wagering businesses must not knowingly take payments that are for someone’s unlawful online gambling. This bans credit (including credit cards), electronic transfers or money sent by money‑transfer companies, checks or similar bank instruments, and other kinds of financial transfers that the Treasury secretary and the Federal Reserve Board later define when a bank or financial middleman is involved.
