Title 31 › Subtitle SUBTITLE V— - GENERAL ASSISTANCE ADMINISTRATION › Chapter CHAPTER 73— - ADMINISTERING BLOCK GRANTS › § 7305
Governors must audit the block grants and consolidated assistance funds their State got under the Omnibus Budget Reconciliation Act of 1981. They must check each two-year period starting October 1, 1981, and every two years after that. Where possible, the checks should follow the audit standards set by the U.S. Comptroller General. These audits replace other required audits of the same funds under that 1981 law, unless another part of that law specifically says otherwise.
