Title 33 › Chapter CHAPTER 26— - WATER POLLUTION PREVENTION AND CONTROL › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER III— - STANDARDS AND ENFORCEMENT › § 1314a
The EPA Administrator must update certain wastewater program materials to include information about cost‑effective and alternative wastewater recycling and treatment options, such as onsite and decentralized systems. The EPA must also share that information with local governments and nonprofit groups that are looking for federal funding. The programs covered include technical help for wastewater, like the nonpoint source management program (section 1329) and the sewer sludge disposal permit program (section 1345). Within 1 year after October 23, 2018, and at least every 3 years after that, the EPA must send Congress a report. The report must say what information was shared, which States or regions used these alternative systems the most, and what the EPA did to help States adopt them, including onsite and decentralized systems.
