Within one year after November 17, 1986, the Secretary and the Chief of Engineers must gather and print all U.S. laws about rivers, harbors, flood control, beach erosion, and other water projects that were passed after November 8, 1966 and before January 1, 1987. They must also reprint the volumes of laws passed before November 8, 1966. Each volume must have an index, be printed for the Army, Congress, and the public, and a copy must be sent to Congress. The Secretary must also file the annual report called for by section 556 in two volumes: Volume I is a summary of the Corps of Engineers’ activities and achievements; Volume II has detailed information and field reports. Each annual report must include an index. Every two years the Secretary must publish a public report for each State describing each water resources project the Secretary oversees and its status, with a separate indexed volume for each State. The first set of State reports must be published no later than one year after November 17, 1986.
