NASA must use its satellites and other space-based tools as fully as possible to watch ocean acidification and coastal acidification and their effects. NASA must carry out its research and monitoring to match the strategic research plan made by the Subcommittee under section 3704, and it must coordinate with other U.S. agencies and with other countries and international groups. NASA researchers who collect the data described in section 3705(d) must follow the standards, protocols, or procedures set under section 3705(d) and must send those data to the Administrator and the Secretary under any rules the Administrator or the Secretary issues.
