Title 33 › Chapter CHAPTER 14— - CALIFORNIA DEBRIS COMMISSION › § 682
Anyone who purposely or with bad intent damages, destroys, or tries to damage or destroy a dam or other work built under this law for holding, storing, or settling water, or anything used with those works, is committing a crime. If found guilty, the person can be fined up to $5,000, put in jail for up to five years, or both. Any person, company, or their workers who use hydraulic mining and in doing so directly or indirectly harms the navigable waters of the United States is also committing a crime. If found guilty, they can be fined up to $5,000, jailed for up to one year, or both.
