Creates a Senior Policy Advisor on Culturally Specific Communities inside the Office of Justice Programs. Working under the Assistant Attorney General, the advisor must guide grants and contracts for services that serve culturally specific communities. The advisor must lead federal policy and guidelines on domestic violence, dating violence, sexual assault, and stalking in those communities. The advisor must also help other Justice Department offices with policy and law enforcement, make sure experts give technical help to current and potential grantees, and check grant funding to find and remove barriers for culturally specific organizations. The advisor must be from a culturally specific community, with personal and work experience there, and must have proven experience addressing domestic violence or sexual assault at a nonprofit. The Assistant Attorney General must appoint someone within 120 days after March 15, 2022.
