The Attorney General must collect information about programs that treat people convicted of sex crimes. The Attorney General must also make sure everyone serving a federal sentence for a crime under chapter 109A of title 18, or a similar crime — including people in prisons, halfway houses, and psychiatric hospitals — can get information about local treatment programs where they will be released.
