Federal agencies cannot force a survivor of human trafficking who is less than 18 years of age, or a homeless youth, to have a parent or guardian sign or give permission in order to get a copy of their official government ID. Agencies also cannot charge those survivors or homeless youth a fee to get a copy of that official government ID.
