Title 34 › Subtitle Subtitle II— - Protection of Children and Other Persons › Chapter CHAPTER 203— - VICTIMS OF CHILD ABUSE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - IMPROVING INVESTIGATION AND PROSECUTION OF CHILD ABUSE CASES › § 20301
Congress requires State chapters of children’s advocacy center networks to help local communities coordinate child abuse investigations, prosecutions, and services. They must also give oversight, training, and technical help so centers can run evidence-based programs well. Over 3,400,000 suspected child abuse and neglect reports happen each year. Investigations involve many agencies and people and can be very hard on child victims. Supportive families and communities help children heal. Better coordination and multidisciplinary programs have been shown to raise reporting, reduce trauma, improve child outcomes, and increase successful prosecutions, and they have grown with targeted Federal help.
