The Attorney General must, every year and working with the Health and Human Services Secretary, gather statistics from federal law enforcement, prosecutors, and other agencies about elder abuse. The Attorney General must post a public summary and suggestions for better data collection on the Justice Department website. The statistics must show how many investigations started, how many and what kinds of federal cases were filed, and basic facts about each case (district, case name/number, what happened, scam details if any, who is accused, and how the case ended). The HHS Secretary must send adult protective services data each year to be included. No reports can include anyone’s personal identifying information.
