The Attorney General, through the Office of Justice Programs, must give grants to state supreme courts in participating States so they can create and keep a threat assessment database. The database will study trends, predict the likelihood of specific domestic terrorism or crime, and help design ways to reduce those risks. The Attorney General must set common data elements so States and the Department of Justice can share information. $15,000,000 is authorized for each fiscal year 2008 through 2011.
