Anyone who gets federal law enforcement aid under this law must keep the records the Attorney General requires so audits can be done properly. The Attorney General and the Comptroller General of the United States may inspect any books, files, or paperwork of those recipients that they believe are connected to getting or using the aid, for audit and review.
