Summary

Each year the President is asked to declare the week that includes the third Friday of May as National Transportation Week. The President is also asked to invite Americans to mark that week with ceremonies and activities that honor the men and women who work day and night to move goods and people.

Title 36, §133

Patriotic and National Observances — Source: USLM XML via OLRC

The President is requested to issue each year a proclamation—
(1)designating the week that includes the third Friday of May as National Transportation Week; and
(2)inviting the people of the United States to observe National Transportation Week with appropriate ceremonies and activities as a tribute to the men and women who, night and day, move goods and individuals throughout the United States.
