Sets the corporation's goals in its founding papers and lists seven commitments. They are to defend the U.S. Constitution while respecting tribal self‑rule; unite all American Indian veterans who served in U.S. forces; stand up for veterans no matter when they served; promote veterans' welfare (education, economic, social, physical, cultural, and traditional healing); represent veterans and their families to federal and state agencies; support impartial research; and give technical help to Bureau of Indian Affairs areas without veterans programs through outreach and training Tribal Veterans Service Officers.
