Summary

The corporation must bring together music clubs, musicians, and other musical groups to keep high musical standards, support music education, and promote American music and artists in the U.S. and worldwide. It must also act as a patriotic, civic, and historical organization in each state where it is set up, following that state's laws.

(a)The purposes of the corporation are as provided in the articles of incorporation and include—
(1)bringing into working relations with one another, music clubs and other musical organizations and individuals associated with musical activity for the purpose of developing and maintaining high musical standards;
(2)aiding and encouraging musical education; and
(3)promoting American music and American artists throughout the United States and the world.
(b)The corporation shall function as a patriotic, civic, and historical organization as authorized by the laws of each State in which it is incorporated.
