The corporation can run its business and meet its goals by making its own rules and bylaws, choosing leaders and staff, and creating official seals, emblems, and badges. It can sign contracts, own or rent property, use property as collateral, borrow money and issue debt, and transfer property when needed. It can publish magazines and other materials, charge dues and subscription fees, accept donations or grants, give prizes or awards, hold safety conferences, open offices and set up local or regional chapters, sue or be sued, and do any other acts necessary to carry out its purposes.
