Gives the corporation the power to run itself and do what it needs to meet its goals. It can make rules and bylaws, pick officers and agents, make contracts, accept gifts, buy or rent and use property, borrow money and secure loans, create state and local chapters, keep offices, publish materials, sue or be sued, and do other needed acts. It also gets the same benefits and privileges that other national veterans’ groups received when Congress incorporated them.
