Summary

Membership is set by the organization’s rules and founding papers, unless another part of this chapter says otherwise. Those membership rules cannot treat people differently because of race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, or national origin.

Title 36, §21004

(a)Except as provided in this chapter, eligibility for membership in the corporation and the rights and privileges of members are as provided in the bylaws and articles of incorporation.
(b)The terms of membership may not discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, sex, disability, age, or national origin.
