The corporation must not run to make a profit, sell stock, or pay dividends. It also must not give money, help, or support to a political party or a candidate for public office. Its money or property cannot go to members, officers, or council members except when the corporation is finally closed and its assets are distributed. It may not lend money to those officers or council members. Any officer or council member who votes for or helps make such a loan is fully responsible to repay it until the corporation gets its money back.
