Summary

The FFA must have a named agent who can receive legal papers for the organization. Giving papers to that agent or mailing them to the agent’s business address counts as giving notice to the FFA. To use any powers or privileges under this chapter, the FFA must file the agent’s name and address with the Secretary of State or a similar official in every State, territory, or possession of the United States where the FFA has a subordinate association or chapter.

(a)The FFA shall have a designated agent to receive service of process for the FFA..11 So in original. Notice to or service on the agent, or mailed to the business address of the agent, is notice to or service on the FFA.
(b)As a condition to the exercise of any power or privilege granted by this chapter, the FFA shall file, with the Secretary of State or other designated official of each State, territory, or possession of the United States in which a subordinate association or chapter of the FFA is organized, the name and address of an agent in that State, territory, or possession on whom legal process or demands against the FFA may be served.
