Title 38 › Part PART II— - GENERAL BENEFITS › Chapter CHAPTER 17— - HOSPITAL, NURSING HOME, DOMICILIARY, AND MEDICAL CARE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - GENERAL › § 1705A
If you want hospital or medical care under this law, you must give the Secretary up-to-date information needed to find any health-plan contract that covers you. That information includes the name of the company that provides coverage, the policyholder’s name if it is someone else, the contract’s ID number, and the group code. The Secretary can take steps to get this information, but cannot deny care just because you don’t provide it. Health-plan contract — a term that is defined elsewhere in the law.
