Gives simple meanings for key words used in this chapter. "Replacement" means paying for, reimbursing, replacing, or covering costs tied to those actions. "Shipment" means moving valuables by any method to any person, including sending them to or for federal departments, agencies, government corporations (fully or partly owned), officers, employees, or people acting for them. "Valuables" means items or things the government has an interest in or is responsible for, and things the Treasury Secretary says are valuables under these rules. The Treasury Secretary must not call items lost, destroyed, or damaged in shipment "valuables" unless the Secretary decides replacing them under these rules is in the public interest. "Wholly owned Government corporation" means a corporation fully owned by the federal government and includes its authorized officers, employees, and agents.
