Title 40 › Subtitle SUBTITLE I— - FEDERAL PROPERTY AND ADMINISTRATIVE SERVICES › Chapter CHAPTER 9— - URBAN LAND USE › § 904
Before offering urban real property for sale, the head of the General Services Administration must give reasonable notice to the local government that controls zoning and land use. As much as possible, the GSA must give buyers full information about current and likely future zoning and about whether streets, sidewalks, sewers, water, street lights, and other service facilities are now available or will be available if the property is included in local planning. "Local comprehensive planning" means planning work the local government does that is directly tied to its needs, such as making general plans for land use and public facilities; making long-range physical and budget plans; scheduling big projects and planning near-term financing; coordinating plans with other governments and agencies; and creating rules and procedures to carry out those plans.
