To get these benefits, a person must meet all six rules. They must be age 65 on or before December 14, 1999; be a World War II veteran; be eligible for SSI under subchapter XVI for the month the subchapter was enacted and for the month they apply; have total benefit income under 75 percent of the Federal benefit rate under subchapter XVI; have filed an application; and follow any requirements the Commissioner of Social Security sets under this subchapter.
