Summary

Lets the Board get help and support from other federal offices. If the Chairman asks and the law allows, the General Services Administrator must give the Board administrative services, buildings, and other support that the Board will pay back. The Comptroller General, the Librarian of Congress, and the Director of the Office of Technology Assessment must, as the law allows and money is available, provide facilities, staff, funds, and services the Board needs. The Board can ask any department or agency head for information it needs. The Board can use the U.S. mail like other agencies. The Chairman may hire temporary or intermittent workers under section 3109(b) of title 5, following Board rules, and pay them no more than the daily equivalent of the maximum annual basic pay for GS-18 on the General Schedule.
