Summary

The Director of the National Institute on Aging must use centers supported under section 285e–2, training academies, and continuing education programs to provide training and information about Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias to public safety and public transportation workers. The Director of the National Institute on Aging, through centers supported under section 285e–2 of this title, training academies, and continuing education programs, shall conduct education and information dissemination activities concerning Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias for personnel involved in ensuring the public safety and providing public transportation. Such activities shall be designed to enhance the ability of such personnel to respond appropriately to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias whom such personnel may encounter in the course of their employment.
