Summary

Agencies must, when possible, use public commercial stations that sell alternative fuels to refuel their alternative-fuel vehicles. If public stations aren’t nearby or usable, agencies may make commercial deals such as buying, leasing, contracting, or building to provide fuel. Funds for this were authorized to the Secretary for fiscal years 1993–1998 and remain available until spent.
