Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 8— - LOW-INCOME HOUSING › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER II–A— - HOPE FOR PUBLIC HOUSING HOMEOWNERSHIP › § 1437aaa
The Secretary can give two kinds of grants to support homeownership programs: planning grants to help people design the programs, and implementation grants to run them. When the Secretary gives an implementation grant, they may also keep the right to use help allowed under section 1437f. That help can be used, if needed, to provide replacement housing or rental assistance for a tenant who is not buying and who lives in the project when the implementation grant is approved, so the tenant can use it in another project.
