Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 149— - NATIONAL ENERGY POLICY AND PROGRAMS › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER I— - ENERGY EFFICIENCY › Part Part B— - Energy Assistance and State Programs › § 15824
The Secretary, working with the States, must set up a program called the State Technologies Advancement Collaborative to research, test, and spread energy technologies that both federal and state governments care about. The program must share federal and state money, cut down on duplicate funding, and fund multistate projects chosen by competition. It will be run under an agreement between the Department and state-based organizations. Money can come from funds set aside for the program or from other appropriations if that does not change their original purpose. Congress authorized whatever sums are needed for each of fiscal years 2006 through 2010.
