The Secretary must help set up a National Power Plant Operations Technology and Education Center to train certified operators and technicians for the electric power industry. The Center must be hosted at a college or university that offers degree programs in power plant technologies, can teach both in-person and online, and has a track record of meeting industry training and workforce needs. The Center will provide training and continuing education about producing, moving, and delivering electricity and about operating those systems. Training must be offered at the Center and online so people can learn from remote locations.
