Summary

A State that pays to help another State fight a wildfire can ask the Secretary to accept payment from the other State; if the Secretary accepts it, the Secretary must pay that money to the State that paid. "State" means a State or the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. Both States must have mutual assistance agreements with the Forest Service or another federal agency. The Secretary can set any rules needed to make this work. Payments accepted before February 7, 2014 that would have been allowed here are treated as allowed.
