§1869a Contracts for precollege science or engineering curriculum development activities; inspection of materials by parent or guardian

After August 9, 1975, the National Science Foundation director must require that any NSF award for precollege science or engineering curriculum work include a clause in the recipient’s and any subcontractors’ testing, sales, or similar contracts saying all instructional materials — like teacher guides, films, tapes, or other supplemental items — will be available in the school district for parents or guardians to inspect. The director must also try to modify grants made on or before August 9, 1975, to add that clause whenever possible.
