Summary

Creates a special Treasury account called the Uranium Enrichment Decontamination and Decommissioning Fund. Money put into the Fund, including any interest, can be used by the Secretary only for the purposes of this law and only when Congress approves the spending. The Treasury Secretary must hold the Fund and, after talking with the Secretary, report to Congress each year on the Fund’s finances for the prior fiscal year. Treasury must invest the Fund in U.S. government securities, picking how long the investments last and what interest rates to use so the investments meet the Fund’s needs and reflect current market yields.
