The Commission may take back property it sold if a buyer fails to follow a purchase, mortgage, or similar contract. It can sell or otherwise dispose of repossessed property and property it buys under section 2366. Even if other federal rules say otherwise, it may finish, run, rent, repair, modernize, insure, or sell those properties, and collect or settle claims. Expenses under this authority are nonadministrative, and section 6101 of title 41 does not apply to contracts here that cost $1,000 or less.
