Summary

The Secretary must put summarized quality and performance data online using standard websites. The information must be made for different users (like hospitals, doctors, patients, researchers, and policymakers). When possible, the data should cover specific clinical conditions and be broken down by provider so it fits different patient needs. The Secretary must work with the entity that holds the contract under section 1890(a) of the Social Security Act and others. That contracted entity must gather multi-stakeholder groups to review site design and send their views to the Secretary. The Secretary should coordinate these websites with other public quality reports, and funds were authorized for 2010 through 2014.
