Summary

The institute director must use the National Asthma Education Prevention Program Coordinating Committee to list all federal programs that work on asthma and, working with relevant federal agencies and health groups, make a federal plan to respond to asthma. A Department of Housing and Urban Development representative must serve on the committee.

(a)The Director of 11 So in original. Probably should be followed by “the”. Institute shall, through the National Asthma Education Prevention Program Coordinating Committee—
(1)identify all Federal programs that carry out asthma-related activities; and
(2)develop, in consultation with appropriate Federal agencies and professional and voluntary health organizations, a Federal plan for responding to asthma.
(b)A representative of the Department of Housing and Urban Development shall be included on the National Asthma Education Prevention Program Coordinating Committee for the purpose of performing the tasks described in subsection (a).
