Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 6A— - PUBLIC HEALTH SERVICE › Subchapter SUBCHAPTER XII— - SAFETY OF PUBLIC WATER SYSTEMS › Part Part B— - Public Water Systems › § 300g
National drinking-water rules must apply to every public water system in every State, unless sections 300g–4 and 300g–5 say otherwise. The rules do not apply to systems that only have pipes and storage (no water collection or treatment), systems that get all their water from another public system but aren't owned or run by it, systems that don't sell water to anyone, or systems that are not carriers that transport passengers across state lines.
