The Assistant Secretary must run a grant program for States that have plans approved under section 3027. The grants pay for proven disease‑prevention and health‑promotion services and information at senior centers, meal sites, home‑delivered meal programs, or similar places. The Assistant Secretary must give technical help on delivering these services and consult with the Directors of the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention and the National Institute on Aging. The Assistant Secretary must, as much as possible, use services from other community groups and agencies to carry out this part. The Assistant Secretary must also work with qualified experts to share information on improving indoor air quality in buildings where older people gather.
