Title 42 › Chapter CHAPTER 53— - ADVISORY COMMISSION ON INTERGOVERNMENTAL RELATIONS › § 4277
Certain members — Members of Congress, federal executive officers, Governors, and full‑time city or county salaried officers — do not get extra pay from the Commission beyond their regular job. They can be paid back for travel and other necessary expenses, or given a per diem and mileage up to the rates in subchapter I of chapter 57 of title 5, regardless of some federal travel rules. Other Commission members, unless state or local law forbids it, get $50 per day for each day they work for the Commission and are reimbursed for travel, subsistence, and other necessary expenses the same way.
