The President may, when a state's governor asks after a major disaster, quickly find out what building materials are needed and make sure those materials are available and shared fairly. The President can reserve materials for up to 180 days and should work with the companies that normally supply them in the area. Construction materials means building supplies used to repair or replace homes, public buildings, farms, and businesses.
